Justin Sisson's parents joined WCTV's Art Myers on set to talk about the 5K they organize in honor of their late son.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — Justin Sisson's parents joined WCTV's Art Myers on set to talk about the 5K they organize in honor of their late son.
Justin served in the U.S. Army after being a part of Florida State University's ROTC program. He was killed in action in Afghanistan by a suicide bomber on June 3, 2013, while leading his platoon and providing security for the Afghans in Chamkani.
Among his awards are:
-Two Bronze Star Medals, with Oak Leaf Clusters
-Combat Infantry Badge
-Army Achievement Medal
-Air Assault Badge
The race will be held on February 29 on FSU's Langford Green at 8 a.m.
