TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Leon High School student has been arrested after law enforcement was notified of a threat made to the school.
Officials have taken a 15-year-old into custody and charged them with written threats to do harm. Law enforcement did not identify the student.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement received information regarding a possible threat on Wednesday and contacted the Leon County Sheriff's Office regarding their ongoing investigation into a threat made against the school last Friday.
Authorities say Wednesday's threat was communicated by text message to several students in the school, stating the suspect was "part of the shooting."
Deputies and FDLE investigators worked together to identify the 15-year-old who sent the message.
Deputies say their investigation revealed there was no indication that the student made plans to carry out the threat.
