Cause of death determined for one of two local men found dead at Talladega Speedway

LINCOLN, Ala. (WCTV) -- We now know the cause of death for one of two men from the Tallahassee area who were found dead at Talladega Superspeedway.

Joshua Douin, 19, of Crawfordville, and Mike Cook, 48, of Tallahassee were found dead in a trailer in the campground section of the speedway on May 1.

According to the Talladega County Coroner, Douin died of carbon monoxide poisoning. The cause of death for Cook has not yet been determined.

Douin and Cook were attending the Geico 500 Nascar race at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

Douin was a graduate of Wakulla High School and worked for the City of Tallahassee.

LINCOLN, Ala. -- Two men from the Big Bend have been found dead at the Talladega Superspeedway, the Talladega County Coroner's Office confirms.

The men have been identified as 19-year-old Joshua Douin of Crawfordville, and 48-year-old Mike Cook of Tallahassee.

Douin and Cook were attending the Geico 500 Nascar race at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

The bodies of both men were found Sunday afternoon in a trailer at a campground section of the speedway.

The causes of death have not been released and are pending the results of autopsies.

Officials do not suspect foul play.

Douin was a graduate of Wakulla High School and was an employee with the City of Tallahassee.
