WAKULLA CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- Troopers are searching for the driver of a white pickup truck that crashed into a chain link fence and then fled the scene.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. Friday night in the 100 block of Tickie Ridge Road in Crawfordville.

The crash report states that a white Chevrolet or GMC extended cab pickup truck was traveling south on Tickie Ridge Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve to the left. FHP says the driver was traveling at an excessive speed and driving recklessly.

The right rear corner of the truck collided a chain link fence, and the vehicle drove off.

Troopers say the truck likely has damage to the right rear side. The vehicle also has a decal on the rear windshield that says "Gurdy".

Charges are pending. Investigators are asking anyone with information concerning this crash to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at (850) 245-7700.
