TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Tallahassee man has been arrested after deputies say he pulled a gun on another man and attempted to kidnap him.
Tommy Davis, 48, was arrested Wednesday.
According to arrest documents, the victim was at his home on Wagon Trail Lane around 11:25 a.m. on Wednesday when the suspect, later identified as Davis, showed up at his front door.
The victim told deputies that Davis, who he says he did not know, began accusing him of stealing his wife's truck. The victim says Davis then pulled out a revolver from his waistband and threatened to pistol-whip him and shoot him.
The victim said Davis then grabbed him by the arm and pulled him to the driveway, stating he was going to kidnap him. The victim said Davis refused to let go and told him to get in his vehicle, which is when deputies arrived at the scene.
Davis told deputies a different story. He said he had confronted the victim about the stolen vehicle when the victim pulled the gun on him. He claimed that he grabbed it away and was returning to his vehicle with it to call 911 when LCSO showed up.
Witnesses at the scene corroborated the victim's account of events.
Deputies say three children inside the home witnessed the ordeal and were crying and visibly shaken when authorities arrived.
Following an investigation, Davis was arrested on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon by convicted felon. He remains in the Leon County Detention Facility.
