FAMU work vehicle involved in crash on campus

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Two people are being treated at a local hospital following a crash on the campus of Florida A&M University Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, the accident happened around 4:00 p.m. near 1835 Wahnish Way in front of the Lawson Center.

TPD says a Toyota Prius and a FAMU Plant Operations and Maintenance truck were involved in the crash. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital with injuries.

TPD Officer Damon Miller says the driver of the Prius, 31-year-old Justin Michael Drake, suffered life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck, 34-year-old Dante Rashad Allen, is being treated for serious injuries

"Right now, traffic homicide investigators have taken over the crash," said Officer Miller.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Officials are currently on the scene of a crash on the campus of Florida A&M University.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department's crime map, the crash occurred in the 1800 block of Wahnish Way.

Officers with TPD and the FAMU Police Department are on the scene.

FAMU PD has confirmed two vehicles were involved in the crash, and one person has suffered life-threatening injures.
