Authorities arrest man accused of sexual misconduct with child

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) – A man wanted for sex crimes against a child is now behind bars.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says officials requested that the United States Marshal’s Service Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force adopt a case regarding active arrest warrants for Phillippe Grant Davison, 38, of Cypress. On Wednesday, February 19 task force officers received information that he was hiding in abandoned structures near his home.

Then, by Thursday, February 20, authorities had begun to relentlessly pursue Davison as he continued to evade capture. He later turned himself in shortly after midnight on Friday, February 21.

Davison is charged with lewd or lascivious exhibition on a child and lewd or lascivious conduct on a child.

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A man accused of sexual misconduct with a child fled from Jackson County deputies. The agency released details of the case to the public Sunday night.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Phillippe Davison, who faces charges of Lewd and Lascivious Exhibition and Conduct on a Child.

Deputies first received the report around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Cypress area, which is east of Marianna. Investigators determined there was probable cause to believe the allegations were true.

The suspect fled the scene prior to JCSO arrival. K-9 units were brought to aid the search, but deputies were unable to locate Davison.
