TALLAHASSEE, Fla (WCTV) -- Black Friday shopping started Thursday night, but for those getting up early Friday morning, there were still plenty of deals. One of the busiest places on Friday was the Best Buy off Apalachee Parkway.
With the Black Friday deals officially ending at 10 a.m. Friday morning, shoppers at Best Buy ranged from those looking to get a discount, to those just trying to shop regularly.
The store was packed with shoppers who didn't want to wait outside in the early morning hours, but still wanted to find some holiday deals.
"Oh it's been great... this is probably our fifth year tradition, going on five years and we used to do it at night and we decided to just start in the morning and its been wonderful," said Keri Johnson, who came down from Thomasville with her friends.
Leon County Sheriff's deputies were also on hand throughout the evening and into the morning. They say they had no major incidents at any of the local shopping centers.
Although shoppers were worried the lines might be long, they say the experience was smooth.
"We found everything so far... yeah it's restocked even," said Johnson.
Best Buy officials say even though Black Friday hours are officially over, they will continue to have deals in store throughout the week as long as supplies last.
