TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - The Tift County Sheriff’s Office has launched a homicide investigation after a teenager was found dead inside of a vehicle.
Kenyada Mitchell, 18, was found dead inside of a car parked in a wooded area off of Emerson O’Bynes Avenue after deputies responded to a 911 call.
Officials said a call concerning a deceased person in a vehicle came in at 10:51 a.m. Thursday morning.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Sylvester Regional Office and the Tift County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the case as a homicide.
