Body of Kendrick Johnson being exhumed

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- Kendrick Johnson's body is being exhumed for a second time.
Johnson was found dead in a rolled up gym mat at Lowndes High School in January 2013.
This will be the third autopsy conducted since Johnson's death.
The first cause of death was determined to be suffocation. The second autopsy, paid for by Johnson's parents, found the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.
The City of Valdosta says the exhumation process began around 10:00 a.m. Friday.

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- We've learned of new developments surrounding the death of a Lowndes County high school student. The City of Valdosta says Kendrick Johnson's body is set to be exhumed for a second time this Friday.
Johnson was found dead in a rolled up gym mat at Lowndes High School five years ago on January 11, 2013.
This will be the third autopsy conducted since Johnson's death.
The first cause of death was determined to be suffocation. The second autopsy, paid for by Johnson's parents, found the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.
Johnson's body is set to be exhumed on Friday at 5 p.m.
