On Wednesday, CBS Sports released their comprehensive rankings of all 130 athletic departments who compete at the FBS level, grading on how teams did across the board over the last academic school year.

CBS took into consideration successes in football and men's and women's basketball, as well as two "wild card," sports among the school's most successful sports from baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, lacrosse, hockey and wrestling.

After finishing atop the rankings a year ago, CBS has Florida State ranked eighth in the country this year, with a total score of 422.50 points (62.50 in football, 146 in men's basketball, 50 for women's basketball, 100 for winning the softball title and 64 points for success in the second wild card sport).

FSU finished behind two full-fledged ACC members in Clemson (seventh, 428.00 points) and Duke (fifth, 445.50 points). Notre Dame also finished ahead of the Seminoles, coming in at sixth and netting 439.00 points.

The top three were comprised of Ohio State (510.50), Alabama (492.25) and Oklahoma (477.50).

The University of Georgia cracked the top 10, at #10, with 416.25 points, while Florida finished tied for 33rd, along with Missouri, with 275.00 points.

Georgia was outdone by only Alabama from the SEC, while Florida came in behind South Carolina, LSU, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Auburn as well.

Here's how other schools in the Sunshine State finished:
Miami - T30 (282.50)
South Florida - 41st (245.00)
