TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The manager of a Circle K in Leon County was arrested Thursday after she admitted to stealing 21 Florida Lottery scratch-off books worth $15,000.

32-year-old Amanda Betts was charged with organized scheming to defraud and grand theft.

The Florida Lottery Division of Security was notified of missing money involving scratch-off tickets at the Circle K at 6706 Thomasville Road. Circle K says 51 scratch-off books were missing from the store's inventory between May 31 and June 13.

Officers found 21 of the books had been consecutively validated at the store. Officers say Betts was the only employee working on each date that a book was cashed.

Betts admitted to stealing the scratch-off books and told officers that the thefts had been happening for the past six months. The Florida Lottery Division of Security is still investigating the books that were reported missing before May 31.

Betts was booked into the Leon County Jail without incident.
