VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- Representative Austin Scott visited students at Valdosta Middle School Tuesday to check out the school's Capitol Hill Stock Market Game. Students were given $100,000 in imaginary money to invest in real, up to date stock market information.
"This game helped me a lot, like really. If it wasn't for this, my grades would be real down because I'm really good at math, so I'm really good at calculating stuff in my head. It helps you to practice your math skills, but you know, it was actually really fun," said eighth grade student Lamar Anthony Campbell.
Students also had a chance to ask Congressman Scott questions, like advice for students wanting to get involved in politics.
