SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) --

its crews responded to a fatal crash with injuries on I-10 West near mile marker 287 Wednesday morning.

At this point, the person who died has not been identified.

A semi and a van were the vehicles involved, and crews worked to get a trapped person out of one of the vehicles, Suwannee Fire and Rescue says.

The department asked drivers to avoid the area earlier Wednesday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers were dispatched to the area around 9:30 a.m. As of 1 p.m., all lanes were reopened.

Suwannee County Fire Rescue crews are responding up to I-10 West Bound MM 287 for a semi versus a van with injuries and entrapment. Please avoid this area. Public Information Officer..Brad M.
