New research facility to bring 120 jobs to Leon County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A job boost is coming to Leon County. Tech company Danfoss Turbocor Compressors is expanding its footprint in Tallahassee, announcing plans to add a new facility at Innovation Park, near the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering.

This expansion will also help create around 120 new full time jobs in Leon County. Officials with the tech company say they're glad to see tremendous growth in just a short time.

"I think the company, we have been growing over 20 pecent year over year and this is because our product and services and technology," said Ricardo Schneider the President of Danfoss.

Construction on the new facility will start in January of 2018 and is set to be completed in the Spring of 2019.
