TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A man is facing multiple felony charges after deputies say he tried to steal more than two dozen pairs of jeans from a local Dillard's store.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office arrested 45-year-old Cameron Eustace on Sunday.
According to LCSO, Eustace left the Dillard's department store in the Governor's Square Mall without paying for 28 pairs of jeans, totaling $4,560.
Mall security and a deputy working off-duty security at the store confronted the suspect outside the store and blocked his vehicle in. Eustace was able to run a short distance before being stopped by authorities.
LCSO says once the suspect was placed in the sheriff's patrol car, he became "irate" and started kicking the passenger side door, damaging it.
Deputies say Eustace then began to have a medical incident and was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Eustace was later cleared by medical personnel and taken to the Leon County Detention Facility. He is charged with grand theft, resisting an officer without violence, providing a false name to law enforcement and criminal mischief.
LCSO says Eustace is also a suspect in several other criminal investigations.
