Disney employee arrested for child porn, molestation

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -- A stage tech who lists his employer as "Disney" has been arrested on nearly 200 counts related to child pornography.

Richard Alton Morgan, 57, of Mascotte, Florida, was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff's Office on Monday.

According to the arrest affidavit, a tip came in to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tipline back in September about someone with a Yahoo! email address uploading and downloading child porn via Yahoo! Messenger.

The affidavit states a search warrant was finally obtained on February 10. When police arrived at Morgan's house, he reportedly told investigators they would "find what (they) were looking for on his computers." The affidavit continues, "The defendant (Morgan) told me he had been downloading images of child pornography for a few years."

Morgan reportedly told investigators the email address in question was indeed his. A forensic exam of his computer revealed at least 20 images of child porn had been viewed. The oldest child in the photos was six. The mother of the 6-year-old, who now lives in California, was arrested on molestation charges Monday night.

Also found during the forensic exam, according to investigators, was evidence Morgan had been producing child porn in his home using an infant. Morgan reportedly admitted to molesting the infant as well as two other children.

Investigators say the case is ongoing and Morgan "appears to be a danger to the public." He's charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography, 120 counts of production of child pornography and 56 counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.

In arrest paperwork Morgan listed his occupation as a "Stage Tech" with Disney. A Disney representative says Morgan has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the charges.
