THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- Downtown shops are preparing for the first Friday of the month as the community hosts it's Sip and Stroll event.
Friday afternoon, the Farmer's Daughter Vineyard Tasting Room prepared their specialty drink, rose sangria.
The shop is excited and ready for a big crowd to enjoy a night of sipping, while strolling downtown streets.
They say it's a perfect opportunity to pickup business, since they're the only tasting room that offers locally-made wine.
"We're becoming a tourist town now," said an employee. "A lot of outsiders are saying I wish our downtown was like this and this is really cool that your downtown will let you do this. I'm just really happy to be part of it."
Downtown shops say the event creates a needed boom in business.
Farmer's Daughter says this year, with the new time and central location, they've noticed an increase in customers.
People can enjoy the Sip and Stroll from six to ten with food, drinks, and live music.
