TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The president of the Student Government Association at Florida A&M University has announced his resignation.

The resignation, handed in by Justin Bruno, is effective immediately. Based on FAMU's SGA's constitution, Vice President Devin Harrison will succeed Bruno and represent the student body on FAMU's Board of Trustees.

“Justin Bruno has been a talented and knowledgeable contributor to the FAMU community and Board of Trustees," said FAMU interim President, Dr. Larry Robinson. "We appreciate his support and service and wish him the best as he continues his education at FAMU.”

Once president, Harrison will appoint the new vice president subject to the Student Senate's approval.
