FEMA offering rebuilding and repair advice in Leon, Jackson counties

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency and retailers in Jackson and Leon counties are teaming up to assist residents still working to recover following Hurricane Michael.

From Jan.17-23, FEMA specialists will be on hand at Walmart stores in Marianna and Tallahassee to answer questions and offer home improvement guidance on ways to make homes stronger and safer.

Officials say most of the information and the free publications are tailored for do-it-yourself work and general contractors.

Advisors will be available at the following stores 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday:
