TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State will host Minnesota once again in the 2016 ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The game has been scheduled, Monday, November 28 at 7 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center. It's the first game of the annual battle between the two conferences considered among the nation's best in basketball.

The leagues and ESPN made the announcement of the finalized schedule Monday.

Minnesota is a familiar foe for the Seminoles. It will be the fifth time Florida State has faced off against the Gophers in the event. Minnesota leads FSU 3-2 in the all time in the challenge series.

Florida State has also faced Northwestern four times in the annual event.

It's the 18th time the two leagues have squared off as part of the ACC / Big Ten Challenge, which started in 1999. The ACC leads the all time series 10-5-2, but hasn't won outright since 2008.

FSU is currently 6-11 in the challenge all time and holds its longest losing streak with eight straight losses.
