TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State football has brought in another top recruiting class under head coach Jimbo Fisher.
By the end of signing day Florida State found itself ranked in the top ten of all major recruiting class rankings, including 4th in ESPN, 8th in Scout.com, 6th in 247Sports, and 5th in the Rivals.com rankings.
One of the biggest unknowns for FSU heading into signing day on Wednesday was the status of Defensive Tackle Marvin Wilson, who was top top-ranked undecided player heading into National Signing Day, and the top ranked defensive lineman in the country.
Wilson announced that he had picked FSU over LSU, Ohio State and several other schools on ESPN2 Wednesday afternoon.
The Seminoles had signings from three pairs of high school teammates – Kaindoh and Tre’ McKitty from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.; Cory Durden and Parks from Newberry in Newberry, Fla.; and Tamorrion Terry and Ontaria Wilson from Turner County in Ashburn, Ga. In total, players from nine different states signed with Florida State in 2017.
FSU has not had a recruiting class ranked outside of the top ten since Jimbo Fisher became head coach eight seasons ago.
