TALLAHASSEE, Fla (WCTV) -- On the Florida State University campus Saturday afternoon, students got the chance to sample some cultures from around the world.
The Center for Global Engagement hosted its annual International Bazaar. Its the biggest international event the center puts on each year.
Organizers say now more than ever, it is important to showcase world cultures and have students familiarized with them.
"It's important to make sure they feel integrated within our American society and make sure that they are contributing. Because they have so much more knowledge and experience that they bring to the table, that we need to be able to have that sort of good relationship, good standing relationship," said Laura Dean, the Intercultural Programs Coordinator.
Roughly 25 countries were represented at the Bazaar. Each year, around 400 international students come to Florida State from dozens of countries.
