TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Florida State Seminoles women's soccer team will play host to the professional Orlando Pride at the end of the month as part of the Pride's preseason schedule.
The match, according to the Pride's website, will be held on Wed., Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Seminole Soccer Complex and will be a free match to attend for fans.
Orlando will also play preseason matches at UCF (Sat., March 3) and USF (Thurs., March 8) before the National Women's Soccer League schedule begins the weekend of March 24/25.
The Pride finished third in the NWSL last year with 40 points (going 11-6-7) and lost in the league's semifinal to eventual champion Portland Thorns.
Orlando's roster features U.S. National Team members Sydney Leroux and Alex Morgan along with international soccer start Marta and former FSU player Carson Pickett.
FSU finished their 2017 season with a 13-7-1 one record, falling in ACC tournament to UNC but earning an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament before falling to Stanford in the third round.
