TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Florida State University Police Department is conducting two DUI checkpoints on campus on Thursday, October 26.

The first checkpoint will run from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Convocation Way. The second will be held on the 700 block of W. Jefferson Street from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

“Impaired driving is a serious threat to the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and the community at large,” said Chief David Perry of the FSU Police Department. “We will arrest anyone we discover operating a vehicle under the influence. We don’t give warnings for DUI.”

FSUPD recorded 67 DUI arrests in 2016 and 59 arrests so far in 2017.
