TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Former FSU women's basketball player Imani Wright has been selected in the third round of the WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury.

Wright was second on the Noles' in scoring this past season, logging 16.3 points a night while shooting 40.7 percent from the floor.

Phoenix went 18-16 last season, finishing third in the Western Division and losing to Los Angeles in the semifinals of the WNBA playoffs.

With Shakayla Thomas being taken earlier in the draft, this marks the third occasion multiple former Seminoles have been taken.
