Alabama man killed, woman injured in Madison County crash

MADISON CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- An Alabama man was killed and his passenger was critically injured in a crash in Madison County Saturday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:10 a.m. on Interstate 10 eastbound near miler marker 266 in Madison County.

The crash report states that 23-year-old Jacorion Chambers of Prichard, Alabama, was driving east on I-10 when he traveled off of the roadway into the center median. FHP says Chambers overcorrected to the right and reentered the roadway before overcorrecting to the left, causing the car to rotate.

The car rotated into the center median and collided with a tree.

Chambers was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger, 25-year-old Jerelon Chambers, was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

MADISON CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting a deadly crash with road closures on Interstate 10.

Mile marker 262 eastbound - near County Road 255 - to US Hwy 90 is slowly being reopened but traffic is still being diverted to exit 262, according to FHP's traffic website.
