QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) -- One man is dead and four other people are in serious condition following a single-car crash in Gadsden County Saturday evening.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. on State Road 267 just north of County Road 272.
The crash report states that 44-year-old Kelvin Cannon was driving north on State Road 267 when he lost control of his vehicle. The car crossed the center line, traveled into the southbound lanes and entered the west shoulder.
FHP says Cannon's vehicle overturned onto its passenger side before colliding with a tree.
A passenger in the backseat, 50-year-old Reginald Wilson, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Cannon, a one-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy were transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in serious condition. Troopers say the children were not properly restrained.
26-year-old Ciara Lockwood, the passenger in the front seat, was critically injured in the crash.
FHP says charges are pending an investigation.
