TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- No fishing license? No problem, at least for this weekend.

This Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2, Florida residents and visitors can fish in Florida's freshwater fisheries without having to purchase a license.

The weekend is part of eight license-free fishing days approved by Governor Scott and FWC for 2017.

While the fishing license requirement is waived for the weekend, all other rules, such as season, bag, and size limits, still apply.

Other license free fishing days in Florida include June 10-11 (Freshwater), June 3-4 (Saltwater), September 2 (Saltwater), November 25 (Saltwater).
