TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Florida State Seminoles will open the NCAA Tournament as a #4 seed and will play their first game on Thursday against Vermont in Hartford, Connecticut.
FSU looks to improve upon last year's tournament success, which saw the Noles make it to the Elite Eight.
FSU is in the West Region, along with #1 seed Gonzaga, Michigan, who ended FSU's season a year ago, and ACC foe Syracuse.
Vermont went 27-6 this season, winning the American East tournament and boasts non-conference wins against Yale, George Mason and Towson.
Florida State and Vermont will tip off at 2 p.m. on Thursday. The game can be seen on TBS.
