TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The redesigning of the FSU Don Veller Golf Course by Jack Nicklaus has been put on hold.

Officials at the course say the project will be delayed 15 months. The estimated start for the multi-million dollar renovation is the fall of 2018, at the earliest.

Florida State golf is hopeful that Jack Nicklaus will be in Tallahassee this fall to help fundraise for the project. Nicklaus last visited back in June.

In the meantime, the golf course will remain open.
