TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State men's basketball is up to No. 20 in both the AP and Coaches top 25 polls this week.

Last week the Seminoles (12-1) were ranked 21st in the AP poll and 22nd in the coaches poll. The team's only loss this season came to Temple in November's NIT Season Tip-Off. FSU also posted wins against 12-1 Minnesota and their then 21st-ranked rival, Florida.

It's the highest ranking Florida State men's basketball has received since 2012 after they finished the season ranked 10th in the AP poll and 15th in the coaches poll, the same year Leonard Hamilton's squad won the ACC Tournament Championship.

Florida State has what is seemingly their toughest stretch of the season over the course of the next month.

The Seminoles open ACC play against Wake Forest Wednesday before playing the other five ranked ACC teams, #12 Virginia, Virginia Tech, #5 Duke, #9 North Carolina, #24 Notre Dame and #6 Louisville to start 2017.

The ACC's six ranked teams are the most of any other conference.
