TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State redshirt sophomore quarterback Deondre Francois is expected to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a patella injury in Saturday's loss to Alabama. The Tallahassee Democrat was the first to report the news.

Francois was slow to leave the field in the fourth quarter on Saturday after being sacked on third down in the second-to-last possession of FSU's evening.

Francois finished his 2016 campaign with 3,350 passing yards and 20 passing touchdowns while adding 198 yards on 108 carries n the ground.

Head coach Jimbo Fisher stated following Saturday's game that if Francois injury were serious, freshman James Blackman would be the Noles starter.
