GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- Gadsden County investigators say Vincent Davis tried to pry open the door of the V-Stop convenience store on Highway 90.
"He'll try this a couple of times, then move on to a more successful attempt."
That attempt was through the window.
Investigators say Davis smashed the glass and went inside.
They say he first went for the cash register, but it was empty. So, he grabbed cigarettes and lottery tickets.
"The lottery tickets were later cashed at various locations in Leon County, which were then used to locate him," said an investigator.
The burglary was back on July 18th.
He's suspected in burglaries between then and up until last week.
"We were able to just connect the dots, I would say."
Deputies say they connected the dots in this July 18th home-monitoring video to at least seven car burglaries in the Quail Rouse Community in Quincy.
WCTV aired the video on July 20th, and investigators say the tips came rolling in.
John Wright and Jerry Barber have now been arrested, along with two juveniles.
"These individuals were in stolen, those three vehicles that are driving, were stolen possibly out of Leon and Gadsden Counties."
Otis Simpson faces several charges for nine car burglaries in the Rentz Road Trailer Park area on June 8th.
Authorities say he's responsible for 15 to 20 other car burglaries throughout the city that same night.
Gadsden County resident Jack Kimble said, "If you don't stop them, they're just going to keep on continue doing it. So, I'm just proud that the sheriff's department stepped in. It took a while for them to confiscate them but I'm glad they apprehended them."
Four more suspects have not been identified in that surveillance of the group car burglary.
Deputies say some of the suspects in the group are friends from Gadsden and Leon Counties.
Authorities say the investigation is still active, and more arrests expected.
