DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) -- A Georgia man was killed Tuesday afternoon when he crashed into the back of a tractor that was stopped along the side of the road.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on GA 309 just south of Lambert Harrell Road in Decatur County.
GSP says a Bainbridge man parked a John Deere tractor on the shoulder of the roadway to close a field gate. 79-year-old Calvin Hunter, of Whigham, was driving north on GA 309 and struck the rear tires of the tractor.
Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tractor driver was not injured.
Authorities have not said whether any charges will be filed.
