VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- A former Lowndes High School teacher accused of having sex with students faces probation and a fine after pleading guilty.

According to court documents, Phoebe Jo Chapman pleaded guilty Tuesday to second degree cruelty to children.

County Court officials say Chapman will not have to register as a sex offender.

Chapman was sentenced to four years probation and a $2,000 fine.

Also, she is not allowed to have any form of contact with the three victims or Lowndes County Schools.

Chapman was arrested in April 2015 and accused of having sex with three students while she was a teacher at Lowndes High School.
