TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CNS) -- On Wednesday, Florida Governor Rick Scott weighed in on Republican Roy Moore's defeat in Alabama.
"I was vocal that the allegations were disgusting and I recommended that he get out of the race and do the right thing," Scott said.
Many are expecting the governor to make a run of his own for the U.S. Senate next year.
He declined to comment on larger ramifications for Republicans after Tuesday's defeat in a GOP stronghold.
