Jackson County man arrested on drug charges after high speed chase

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Marianna man is in custody after fleeing from authorities and leading them on a high speed chase through Jackson County.
A Jackson County deputy attempted a traffic stop near Kynesville and Topaz Roads, when the driver attempted to flee.
The driver was identified as Joshua Carr. Carr sped through residential areas in excess of 80 miles per hour.
Carr also attempted to throw items out the window as authorities pursed. Carr made it to a wooded area where he was apprehended by Jackson County deputies. When his car was searched, illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were found.
Carr was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Felony Fleeing and Eluding, Felony DWLSR, Reckless Driving, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Parahernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine and Resisting without Violence.
