TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A man was arrested Thursday after authorities were tipped off to an abandoned vehicle with animals in it.

According to the Leon County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call around 3:10 p.m. about there being an abandoned UHaul truck full of dogs near the Dollar Tree off of Mahan Drive near Lagniappe Way.

Authorities say they made contact with the driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Duane Glenn, and discovered he had a warrant for his arrest in Georgia.

According to officials, upon learning of Glenn's warrant, he became uncooperative and attempted to flee. That's when, LCSO says, they detained him.

Authorities say during a subsequent search of the vehicle, they found dogs and multiple illegal substances, including marijuana.

LCSO says Glenn is being charged with resisting arrest without violence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to officials, the truck is being towed away, and the animals are in the process of being turned over to the humane society.
