TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Thousands descended on Florida's Capitol in Tallahassee on Wednesday for the 'Never Again' rally, led by students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

The rally comes in the wake of last week's deadly shooting at the Parkland school, which left 17 students and teachers dead. Survivors are now calling for gun control reform from lawmakers to prevent another tragedy.

The rally officially kicked off at noon, featuring powerful speeches from students recounting the horrors of what they experienced firsthand on campus just one week ago.

Students also marched from Florida State University and Florida A&M University to the Capitol building in support of the movement.

WCTV Eyewitness News is reporting live all day long from the Capitol:

I've never see anything like this: an ENORMOUS crowd rallying and marching to the state Capitol. They're so crowded, they're starting to flood the street.
