TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida A&M University has fired LeDawn Gibson after starting the 2018/19 season 3-20 overall and 1-10 in MEAC play.
Gibson was named head coach of the Lady Rattlers prior to the 2008/09 season.
In her tenure, FAMU recorded non-conference victories against the University of Florida, University of South Florida and the University of Alabama. Gibson logged a 145-182 overall record and an even 85-85 mark in conference play.
FAMU also has let go Associate Head Coach LaTasha Shipman-Ganus, who spent six years with the program.
Kevin Lynum will be the interim head coach for the remainder of the season, being promoted from assistant head coach.
