LCSO makes arrest in deadly weekend shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office says an arrest has been made in connection to the shooting death of 23-year-old Travis Jamar McNeil.

LCSO identified the suspect as 31-year-old Gregory Williams.

Investigators say McNeil and Williams were acquaintances both attending a party on Ellis Road.

Through the investigation, LCSO detectives were able to develop probable cause for the arrest of Williams.

Williams was arrested in Tallahassee on Tuesday by members of the US Marshals Violent Task Force. He is charged with first degree murder.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting death that occurred early Sunday morning at a residence in the 100 block of Ellis Road.

LCSO says deputies responded to the home in reference to a deceased individual. On the scene, officials found the victim, 23-year-old Travis Jamar McNeil, dead from a gunshot wound.

The sheriff's office is investigating and says foul play is suspected.
