Leon County deputies locate escaped inmate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office says it has located an escaped prisoner, and he has been taken into custody.

LCSO says deputies found 35-year-old Dwayne Faulkner in the area of Brent Drive on Thursday.

Faulkner escaped the Leon County Detention Facility on Monday.

Deputies say they took Faulkner into custody without further incident.

He is facing escape charges.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office is actively searching for an inmate who was last seen Monday night.

LCSO says Dwayne Faulkner, 35, escaped around 7:00 p.m.

Faulkner is 5’11” and weighs approximately 160 pounds, with short dark brown hair, hazel eyes, no facial hair and a dragon tattoo on his left inner wrist. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and white pants.

The sheriff's office says Faulkner is a trustee inmate.

Court documents show he has an extensive criminal history, including burglary, grand theft and grand theft of a firearm.
