GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State used three defensive interceptions to help defeat the Florida Gators, 38-22, for the fifth straight season.

FSU now sits at five wins and has an opportunity to clinch bowl eligibility next week against ULM.

Below is the running live blog WCTV's Fletcher Keel kept throughout the game.

Same result, just took a while to get it - 4Q, 7:33 | FSU, 38-16
Blackman finds Tate and the Noles get that touchdown back, bailing out Matthew Thomas.

This one is just about over, barring a miracle comeback and epic collapse from the FSU defense.

So close, yet, so far - 4Q, 11:12 | FSU, 31-16
Matthew Thomas snags the Noles' third interception and it looked like a pick-6, but Thomas tired to fall into the end zone and ended up being about half a yard short.

On top of that, he was assessed an unsportsmanlike penalty, so instead of six points, it's a first and 10 from the edges of the red zone for FSU.

Akers score - 4Q, 11:21 | FSU 31-16
Cam Akers has been RB2 today to Jacques Patrick, but he rumbles, bumbles and stumbles his way into the end zone for six to extend the FSU lead.

UF has tried to make their way back in this one but the FSU defense has proved to be too much for Franks and the Gators' offense.

Gators strike before half - 2Q, 0:29 | FSU, 24-13
UF takes a 12 play, 74 yard drive, including a key fourth down conversion, to score before the half. Without a doubt, the best the Gators offense has looked today.

Taylor Again - 2Q, 3:46 | FSU, 24-7
Defense does it again for the Noles, this time in the form of the second interception for Taylor, except this time, he takes it to the house to extend the lead for FSU.

This one is starting to feel over before halftime.

It's up, it's good - 2Q, 7:47 | FSU, 17-7
FSU had a first and goal from the four yardline, but couldn't punch it into the end zone so they settle for the field goal to extend their lead.

Blackman Showing Flashes - 2Q, 14:24 | FSU, 14-7
James Blackman shows off his arm strength with an absolute bullet to Noonie in the front of the end zone to give the Noles a 14-7 lead.

All 21 points today have come following a turnover.

Levonta Taylor intercepts a tipped ball for FSU to end the first quarter. The Noles will start at the UF 20 when the second begins.

Outside of the unlucky interception out of the hands of Tate and the short field that ensued for the defense, FSU had the better quarter. Looking forward to what the rest of the half brings.

We're Tied - 1Q, 4:03 | 7-7
After the interception, the Gators tie it up on a 10-yard rushing TD from Thompson.

Nothing much you can do their if you're the FSU defense with such a short field to work with.

Gator Interception - 1Q, 4:55 | FSU, 7-0
Florida comes away with an interception after Tate bobbles a Blackman throw. A good throw by Blackman, just an unlucky bounce.

#ScoopAndScore - 1Q, 10:52 | FSU, 7-0
Franks has the ball stripped by Burns who rushed from the blindside and Pugh scoops and scores to put FSU up 7-0.

After not getting anything going on the offensive side of things, that's a huge early momentum boost for the Noles.

Nice way to start - 1Q, 13:20
Aside from one large pickup for Franks, the Noles defense stood tall on that opening series. They forced a Gators fourth-down attempt and got stuffed. Notes will have excellent field position for their first offensive series.

What's up, everyone? Happy Saturday, and happy Florida State/Florida day! The Noles are going to kick things off to begin this afternoon.
