TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Even though you can't help but be used to it in this area, many folks want a break from all of the rain.
Tallahassee resident Becca Stapp made sure to carry her rain jacket with her to the gym Wednesday. She knows that at any moment, the rain could start pouring.
You can see many people around town carrying their umbrellas whether they need them at the moment or not. Stapp says these days, there seems to always be a moment when you will.
"It's the rain, none of us can control it. It's extremely unpredictable because it's Florida. One day it's bright, sunny, no clouds whatsoever. Then the next, it's like a tornado," Stapp said.
Stapp says one of the inconveniences of the rain is finding a parking space. She says it's usually harder when it's wet outside.
Residents most definitely don't want the rain to bring any flooding.
Leon County Emergency Management officials say as of Wednesday afternoon they haven't had any reports of localized flooding.
Tallahassee resident Andrea Villa is crossing her fingers, hoping for no flooding or rain.
"It can be inconvenient; especially as a college student when you're trying to walk to class or if you're trying to move in and out of your apartment. The rain just becomes another obstacle. It's definitely inconvenient," she said.
Many people say what bothers them about so many rainy days is the randomness of it. They say it's a hassle to carry an umbrella or other rain gear every day knowing it could start raining at any moment.
