TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The 34th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dreamers and Doers breakfast was held today, honoring several Leon County students for their service to the community and school campuses.

Students from all grade levels were recognized by their schools for exemplifying the ideals of Dr. King.

Caroline Kirk, a senior at Leon High School, was humbled to be honored at the event.

“I’m extremely grateful and excited to be recognized under the dreams of Martin Luther King Jr. Especially at this point in my life, as a senior in high school going into college. It's just everything that I've tried to do at Leon and been excited about doing is coming into fruition."

The event recognized two students from each Leon County school.
