MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- A non-sworn employee of the Madison County Sheriff's Office has been arrested for possession of crystal meth.

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart says on Tuesday evening, employee Kimberly Davis contacted Undersheriff Epp Richardson to tell him she would not be coming into work as scheduled because she was being arrested. Davis reported that she was being taken into custody by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office for possession of crystal meth.

MCSO says Davis was immediately suspended pending an administrative investigation into the "unbecoming conduct."

Davis was booked into the Lowndes County Jail.
