TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A man is in jail after leading deputies on a high-speed chase with a stolen motorcycle, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office says.

34-year-old Joshua Berry Taylor, of Fountain, Florida, was arrested following the chase Tuesday. Authorities say the motorcycle he was on was stolen from Tallahassee.

Taylor is charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting without violence, grand theft of a motor vehicle. He also received several traffic citations.

Deputies say they chased Taylor on about five miles on US 90 from Highway 71 to Highway 73 west of Downtown Marianna, where Taylor crashed and led them on a short pursuit on foot.

According to JCSO, deputies attempted to stop Taylor multiple times. They say he made "vulgar" gestures to a deputy and at one point purposely drove his motorcycle into another deputy's vehicle.

Taylor was taken to the hospital for minor injuries before being transported to the Jackson County Jail. He is currently awaiting his first appearance.

Taylor had run-ins with other law enforcement agencies in the days prior to the chase, JCSO says.

Further charges from the Sneads Police Department and the Tallahassee Police Department may be pending.
