Thomasville man arrested on child porn charges

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Thomasville Police Department have arrested a man on charges of child pornography.

67-year-old Garland Gordon was arrested on Monday for the sexual exploitation of children.

Authorities say the GBI received numerous cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in reference to an unknown individual (later deemed to be Gordon) distributing images depicting child porn via the internet.

The investigation led to a search warrant being issued for Gordon's residence on October 6, where his electronic devices were seized.

Gordon has been charged with five counts of distribution of child pornography and was booked into the Thomas County Jail.
