LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- Troopers have identified a man who died after being ejected from his vehicle during a single-car crash in Liberty County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 12 just north of NW Wild Turkey Street.

The crash report states that the driver, 29-year-old Rodney Cameron Lambert, was traveling south on County Road 12. Troopers say he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled across the northbound lane into the east shoulder.

FHP says Lambert was ejected when his car struck a tree in the shoulder. It is not known if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Lambert was pronounced dead at the scene by Liberty County EMS.
